Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia being booed at Anloga for dirty Politics.

In Ghana's Volta Region, the residents of Anlo celebrate the Hogbetsotso Festival. The festivities begin in November at Anloga, the ceremonial and traditional capital of the Anlo state.

Festival is a day that reveals Ewe history and brings to life the memories of the heroic deeds of brave men who freed the Ewe-Dogbo people from the oppressive control of the tyrannical King of Kings Torgbui Agorkorli of Nortsie in Togo. The Anlo ancestry is thought to have made a significant migration from Nortsie.

ORIGIN The name "HOGBETSOTSO" is derived from the word "HOGBE" or "HOHOGBE," the exodus day, the day when the Ewes in the Dogbo neighborhood of the walled city left.

A member of the Hogbetsotso Planning Committee revealed what he thinks caused Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president, to receive jeers over the weekend in the Volta Region of Nortsie in Togo, who used to walk backwards to flee from the oppressive ruler Agorkorli. The people established this yearly "Festival of the Exodus" as a way to remember the exodus and the courage of their traditional leaders who guided them on the trek.

Activities

The festival is marked by a number of ceremonies, including one where all unresolved issues are expected to be settled. The traditional stool is being purified during this time, and there is also a general cleaning period during which the communities are swept and trash is burned. It takes days for this cleaning ritual to travel from the Volta Estuary to the Mono River in the Republic of Benin. A gathering of the chiefs and people is such an important aspect of the event, chiefs sitting in state while wearing exceedingly colorful regalia and receiving respect from their subjects. The entire festival is filled with singing, dancing, and general good times. The main durbar is always held in Anloga, the traditional residence of the Anlo-speaking Ewes in the Volta Region, on the first Saturday of November.

The durbar is an important component of the seven-day Hogbetsotso celebration, which honors the Anlo-Ewes' migrated from the old walled city of Notsie in modern-day Northern Togo to their current settlement. They said that they were traveling "backwards" to avoid their foes who may pursue them after they had escaped the rule of the evil King Agorkoli during the festival's finale, which included drumming and dancing to the song "Husago."

The occasion assembles all of the Anlo-land chiefs and elders gathered in a vibrant durbar to commemorate the yearly celebration in the Volta Region.

Before the Vice President arrived, viewers were warned not to "embarrass any invited dignitary," according to Agbotadua Kumasah.

However, Mr. Kumasah claimed that the audience lost control when Dr. Bawumia started recounting some fictitious accomplishments that the current administration had scored in their

"People cheered the Asantehene and Kwahumahene when they spoke, vice president of the republic of Ghana Dr.Bawumia applauded the harmony   Asanteman when he first began to speak. The crowd was cheering for him and enjoying themselves. But that's when the issue started when he brought up the economy, he told Emefa Apawu.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia being booed at Anloga, away away away away take your dirty politics far away from hearing his space about the dipliciation is as a result of the global crisis that we find our self in, he also went on saying that inflation of Ghana grew by 8 percent margin compair to what has happen in our near by countries. when the shooting was becoming on bearable he said there are aways people among us who desires good news and as to what he saying is a good news to the people of Ghana.

The Kyebi Ritual Murder and the protracted legal battle that followed it had more influence on Ghana’s politics than many appreciate.  For some inexplicable reason, and rather worrisomely, not much is written about it in Ghana and it is hardly ever discussed – not even in the context of the biography of its key defence protagonist, Dr J.B. Danquah.  There is a deafening silence about his role in the interminable legal wrangle that followed the horrific murder of the Odikro of Apedwa, Nana Akyea Mensah. Murder at the Okyehene’s Palace Six months after the death of Nana Sir Ofori Atta I in August 1943, the Odikro of Apedwa disappeared. According to evidence presented at the trial that followed, while Nana Akyea Mensah, the Odikro,  was on his way to the Palace to perform the traditional custom of Wirempe – the consecration of the stool of the deceased Omanhene with a mixture of soot, eggs, and the blood of a dog and brown sheep’ [Rathbone] – he  was attacked in one of the courtyards, giv

Key points of President Akufo- Addo's speech on the state of the Ghanaian economy, or "sika mp3 dede,"

Fellow Ghanaians, good evening.   I first came to your homes on Wednesday, 11th March 2020, five (5) days after our nation’s 63rd Independence Day celebration, a day before we recorded our first two (2) cases, with news of the measures Government was taking to limit the importation of the COVID-19 virus into the country. Even at that time, it was obvious to me, watching what was happening in Asia, Europe and Latin America, that, if it was not well-managed, it would disrupt our lives and livelihoods. I, therefore, instructed the Finance Minister, which was announced in Update No.1, to find the cedi equivalent of one hundred million dollars ($100 million), to enable us prepare and mount an appropriate response to the pandemic. Since then, we have experienced four (4) waves of the outbreak. One hundred and sixty-thousand, nine hundred and thirty-two (160,932) people have tested positive from the 2.4 million tests conducted, and one thousand, four hundred and forty-five (1,445) people ha
