NATIONAL DEMOCRACTIC CONGRESS.(NDC).

NDC LOGO

The Public Popularity based Congress (NDC) is a social-majority rule ideological group in Ghana, established by Jerry Rawlings, who was Head of Territory of Ghana from 1981 to 1993 and the Leader of Ghana from 1993 to 2001.

Following the development of the Temporary Public Guard Gathering (PNDC) which controlled Ghana following the tactical rebellion on 31 December 1981, there was strain from the worldwide local area to reestablish a vote based system.

The NDC was framed as the decision party in front of races in 1992, in which Rawlings was chosen president, and in 1996 Rawlings was reappointed as the NDC applicant. Rawlings' subsequent term finished in 2001. The NDC lost the administration in the 2000 political race, and it was only after the 2008 political race that they recovered it with applicant John Atta Plants.

The NDC party image is an umbrella with the top of a bird at the tip. The party tones are red, white, green, and dark, and the party trademark or witticism is "Solidarity, strength, and improvement." Globally, the NDC is an individual from the Ever-evolving Union and Communist Worldwide

On 9 December 2012, the Electing Commission of Ghana pronounced NDC up-and-comer John Dramani Mahama to be President-elect after a controversial race in which he won 50.7% of votes cast.

The NDC has challenged all public races since its initiation.

The 2000 political race was the primary official political decision beginning around 1992 that an occupant president was not on the polling form. Jerry Rawlings' eight-year residency had terminated according to the Constitution of Ghana. John Atta Factories turned into the official competitor of the Public Popularity based Congress at an extraordinary representative congress held in Ho in the Volta Locale of Ghana.

He was prevalently acclaimed the official competitor of the party for the 2000 official political decision. VP. John Atta Factories lost in 2000 to New Enthusiastic Party's John Kufour after two rounds of casting a ballot.

In the 2004 decisions the party's declaration required "A Superior Ghana". John Atta Factories ran again for the NDC in the 2004 official decisions, winning 44.6% of the vote, however losing to the New Enthusiastic Party. In the overall decisions hung on 7 December 2004, the party won just 94 of the 230 seats.

On 21 December 2006, Plants was predominantly chosen by the NDC as its possibility for the 2008 official political race with a larger part of 81.4%, or 1,362 votes. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah was second with 8.7% (146 votes), Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu was third with 8.2% (137 votes), and Eddie Annan was fourth with 1.7% (28 votes).

In April 2008, John Mahama was picked as the party's bad habit official competitor. On 3 January 2009, Plants was confirmed as the victor of the 28 December 2008 run-off political decision and turned into the following leader of Ghana.

President John Atta Plants kicked the bucket, after a short disease, in the early evening of 24 July 2012 while still in office. VP John Dramani Mahama of the NDC was confirmed as president that night. The NDC picked John Dramani Mahama as their official competitor and sitting VP Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur as their bad habit official contender for the 2012 races.

In November 2015 subsequent to getting a staggering 1,199 118 out of a sum of 1, 286, 728 votes addressing 95.10% party individuals in the official primaries, President John Dramani Mahama was supported to lead the NDC in the 2016 general decisions.

Legislatures framed Since the NDC was shaped, it has framed two states following decisions, and a third following the demise of President Mills. The rundown of states is as per the following:

Rawlings Military system (1981-1993),

Rawlings government (1993-2001),

Factories government (2009-2012),

Mahama government (2012-2016).

The Kyebi Ritual Murder and the protracted legal battle that followed it had more influence on Ghana’s politics than many appreciate.  For some inexplicable reason, and rather worrisomely, not much is written about it in Ghana and it is hardly ever discussed – not even in the context of the biography of its key defence protagonist, Dr J.B. Danquah.  There is a deafening silence about his role in the interminable legal wrangle that followed the horrific murder of the Odikro of Apedwa, Nana Akyea Mensah. Murder at the Okyehene’s Palace Six months after the death of Nana Sir Ofori Atta I in August 1943, the Odikro of Apedwa disappeared. According to evidence presented at the trial that followed, while Nana Akyea Mensah, the Odikro,  was on his way to the Palace to perform the traditional custom of Wirempe – the consecration of the stool of the deceased Omanhene with a mixture of soot, eggs, and the blood of a dog and brown sheep’ [Rathbone] – he  was attacked in one of the courtyards, giv

Key points of President Akufo- Addo's speech on the state of the Ghanaian economy, or "sika mp3 dede,"

Fellow Ghanaians, good evening.   I first came to your homes on Wednesday, 11th March 2020, five (5) days after our nation’s 63rd Independence Day celebration, a day before we recorded our first two (2) cases, with news of the measures Government was taking to limit the importation of the COVID-19 virus into the country. Even at that time, it was obvious to me, watching what was happening in Asia, Europe and Latin America, that, if it was not well-managed, it would disrupt our lives and livelihoods. I, therefore, instructed the Finance Minister, which was announced in Update No.1, to find the cedi equivalent of one hundred million dollars ($100 million), to enable us prepare and mount an appropriate response to the pandemic. Since then, we have experienced four (4) waves of the outbreak. One hundred and sixty-thousand, nine hundred and thirty-two (160,932) people have tested positive from the 2.4 million tests conducted, and one thousand, four hundred and forty-five (1,445) people ha
